we were surprised that going to Las Vegas was mountainous, I thought the desert was flat!
this is what a tumbleweed is, it grows until the wind blows it loose & then it loses it greenery & becomes light in weight & blows all over the desert.
these are pictures from Hoover Dam....
there building a new bridge over it now, when we when ove the dam we first had to go through a homeland security inspection. After the bridge is complete no one will be able to drive over the dam.

Well, the desert does bloom, doesn't it? I know Hoover Dam was interesting. Hope you are enjoying sunny California now!
